Seminole County is a county located in the U.S. state of Florida and part of the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). It is located in the central part of Florida between Orlando to the south and DeLand/Daytona Beach to the north. As of 2000, the population was 365,196. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates the 2006 population was 406,875. Its county seat is Sanford, Florida.
Say what you want about ” Hair Bands ” but I think Def Leppard Rocks ! Every summer they would be on my walkman as I cruised around the pool. Definately makes our ” Boys Of Summer “.
Nothing is better in a backyard than a swimming pool. However, if you have children, you need to be extra careful in the swimming area. Be sure to instruct your children not to run around the pool. A slip and fall can be very dangerous. Be sure to keep your eye on your kids at ALL TIMES. Child safety is our number one priority at Magic Pool Services.
The weather is heating up here in Central Florida, and working on pools in the heat can be tough. It is so tempting to jump in the pool, but it is very unprofessional. Last week, my customer in Winter Springs offered me a glass of lemonade. I have not had lemonade in years, so I glady accepted. I was pleasantly suprised to find that this was very refreshing, and it really the spot.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that you need to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. Some signs of dehydration is cramps, dizziness, blurred vision and dry mouth. What is recommended is that you drink 8- 10, 8oz glasses of water a day. Under extreme temperatures, you may want to drink more. Working around pools all day can actually be very hot as the sun reflects off the water.
Okay, maybe being a pool boy is not necessarily the most glamorious job, but at least it is fun. After I leave a job, I do my best to make our customer’s pool look great. However, when the rain comes, so do the leaves. This winter was one of the worst in Central Florida, and I prayed each day that when I returned to my customer’s pool that it would not be full of leaves. Oh well, winter is over and the leaves should be less. Just another rambling from a Certified Pool Operator.
Call it udder shock. A South Carolina woman who heard a giant splash in her backyard discovered a 650-pound cow had fallen into her swimming pool. WSPA-TV reports that the cow fell into Kathy Wydareny’s covered pool on Monday night. The Anderson resident says the cow belonged to her neighbor
Wydareny was startled by a “giant whoosh” and took a flashlight out to investigate. She called 911 after spotting the cow.
It took five men from the county rescue team to free the cow using a sling.
Wydareny believes the cow got loose and just kept walking, thinking the pool cover was solid ground.
The cow is doing well. Wydareny hopes her homeowner’s insurance will cover the damage to her pool.
